Well we found three (three!) vacuum hoses that were either not attached or rotten, and fixed all of those, so my car idles correctly now.
Insurance also will probably pay for basically a new front end and rear bumper, as soon as their guy comes out and makes sure my car's really broken.
Lots of things improved... nothing paid. :-p
